Film 黄石的孩子 the Children of Huangshi (4.2008) recalls "Nanjing Massacre" in 1937. In order to re-create the reality of the Nanjing Massacre, the film spent five million dollars on rebuilding scenes of Nanjing from 1937 according to thousands of photos and films from the time period.
Roger Spottiswoode, the director of the film, hopes "The Children of Huangshi" can remind people, particularly Japanese, to remember history and build good neighborly ties with other nations.
