谢添 Xie Tian, Chinese Gary Cooper and Beyond

谢添 Xie4 Tian1 (1914- ), another one of the most well-known Chinese directors and actors in last century, born in 天津 Tian1 Jin1, but a native of 广东番禺 Guangdong (Canton), is a veteran artist on the stage but mostly on the silver screen and as a director, and is almost my top-picked and my most favor actor and director. He has received many awards as a director. As an actor, his performance was real and exquisite. The film "the Lin Family's Shop" 林家铺子 Lin2 Jia1 Pu4 Zi3 (1959) in which he's the leading role has received the international award, and has been selected as the only Chinese movie in total 13 films worldwide to participate in Hong Kong's "the Exhibition of the World Classical Films" in 1986. Can you see from these screen stage photos that is he the best of the best - is he very expressive? Don't you think he looks like Gary Cooper, or Gary Cooper looks like him?
