火锅 Chinese Hot Pot or "Fire Pot"

火锅 huo3 guo1, Chinese hot pot or "fire pot" has many years history too. Both south and north China have traditions in enjoying 火锅, especially in the south, and in the winter. The southern part has much more variety of 火锅 than the north which has just very simpler ones and only a few. Chinese people love to have family members or a group of people gathering together by the 火锅 in circle, with variety of raw food materials dipping into the hot boiled soup of many different styles, to fully enjoy the fresh tastes of meats, seafood, vegetables and many others.
