"Lust.Caution", Ang Lee Or Men's "Middle Age Crises " ＂色.戒＂，李安或者男人们的＂中年危机＂

If there is a scale of 100, I would give "Lust, Caution" 色.戒 (Se4 . Jie4) a 50. I have read up to 100 film critic's articles (both Chinese and English world websites) on this movie, only seen one critic who has adverse opinion (referring to most Chinese critics - it's a 99% applause for this film, comparing to opposite 99% from the U.S. critics. However European critics have very good impressions on this movie). It looks like this movie has reflected director Ang Lee 李安's or Men's middle age crises. He admitted it. But he's still a "good" man, comparing to director Zhang Yimou 张艺谋, that he never dumped his "Fa2 Qi1" 发妻 or 结发夫妻, meaning first wife. Even he's so well-known and wealthy today, and he's facing many most beautiful women every day. But not Zhang Yimou. He knew he can't be another Zhang Yimou. He felt his deep emotion hidden there a "middle aged man's sexual depression and restraint", therefore he wants to use film - this art form to express such deep hidden feelings. We can't be real animals. We are evolved animals. That is what this film really wants to convey.

I gave "Lust.Caution" only 50% score here, simply because ... - I will discuss them later if my time permits me.
